Los Angeles, California Jun 10, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Tri Cascade, Inc.(OTCMarkets “SRMX”) announced that, following a beta test by Yallvend Co in Taiwan of its Face Mask Vending Machine, Tri Cascade and Yallvend have agreed to co-produce an IoT version of the face mask vending machine to expedite and secure the purchase and distribution of face masks to help combat the advent of Covid-19 and other respiratory diseases and ailments.
Yallvend Co., founded in Taiwan in January 2019, installed last February a smart vending machine at the Ningxia Night Market and at the Taiwan Tech Arena office at Taipei Arena to demonstrate the dispensing technology. During the demonstration, 2,000 general-use masks were distributed for free over a week's time through the machines. Taiwan's government had implemented a rationing system under which people were allowed to buy masks only at national health insurance (NHI)-contracted pharmacies and drugstores, as well as public health centers by showing their NHI card. the idea of developing mask vending machines with ID verification was done with the public's welfare in mind given the long lines that had formed to buy two rationed face masks a week. Now, Yallvend and Tri Cascade are taking the development further by introducing an IoT element to the mask dispensing machines. Tri Cascade will also act as the sales agent for the IoT mask dispensing machines in the U.S. The IoT dispensing model will provide cashless payments, NFC functions, QR Code scans and cloud computing to monitor both stock counts and consumer usage.
Global vending machine revenue topped $23 billion in 2018, and just alone in the US, it is estimated at 2.08 million vending machines in action. It is also estimated by Grand View Research that the industry is expected to register a CAGR of 9.4% from 2019 to 2025. There is no doubt that this is an existing and stable industry.
