Escondido, California Feb 8, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Combining data from numerous sources, The Adventure Travelers blog and website released today, RV related statistics revealing that the RV industry had an overall economic impact to the US economy of $114 billion, supporting nearly 600,000 jobs, contributing more than $32 billion in wages, and paying over $12 billion in federal, state, and local taxes.

The US Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis states the outdoor recreation economy represents 2.2% of the US Gross Domestic Product. The 25 million RVers typically drive to camping, hiking, and other outdoor recreation venues.
The RV manufacturing industry in Indiana boasts $32 billion in total economic activity, followed in order by California, Texas, Oregon, and Ohio.
