Dania Beach, Florida Jul 8, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - The City of Dania Beach unveiled a magnificent love sculpture on Valentine's Day Weekend 2022, Let LOVE Guide Your Way, created by prominent South Florida Public Artist Lloyd Goradesky. Let LOVE Guide Your Way is a celebration of kindness and love – encouraging compassion, consideration, and tolerance for everyone. The sculpture is a spinning red metallic heart made into a Cupids Arrow weathervane capturing the wind and pointing in the direction of love. 'Let LOVE Guide Your Way' is a unique and meaningful art project that allows communities to experience art in their daily life, thereby creating a greater sense of place and identity. Goradesky's original Candy Red 16-foot kinetic sculpture is now located outside, in front of Dania Beach City Hall, 100 W. Dania Beach Boulevard. The City of Dania Beach, Florida's motto is, "Sea it. The Art is an example of Art & Design merging with Engineering & Science. The artist uses a weathervane that is shaped in the form of Cupid’s Arrow. The heart-shaped arrow rotates 180 degrees which are used to not only measure wind but also as a metaphoric expression to describe people who change their views frequently. “In a chaotic world, when faced with a dilemma, let love guide your way,” said Goradesky. The outdoor love sculpture brings meaningful and playful public art to the City of Dania Beach by prominent South Florida artist Lloyd Goradesky, connecting the public to one-of-a-kind visual experiences. Goradesky’s projects use the power of art to create social interaction and dialogue using innovative technology combined with his unique use of materials, as well as incorporating natural elements within the environment such as sunlight, wind, rain, etc., to amplify the design or effect of a public art piece.
Lloyd Goradesky was born and raised in Miami Beach with a unique background in art, business, and design. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He resides in Hollywood, Florida where he lives and works. He is widely recognized for his iconic public art projects that allow the community to experience art in their daily life, thereby creating a greater sense of place and identity.
