Early in his career, he completed a research fellowship in rheumatology and immunology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester (2015–2016), where he contributed to studies focused on autoimmune disease, interstitial lung disease, and medication utilization patterns.
He went on to complete his internal medicine residency and internship at UT Rio Grande Valley and Valley Baptist Medical Center between 2017 and 2020, where he further developed his clinical expertise in internal medicine and complex patient care management.
