Katrice explains her art saying:
"When creating this piece I had to really think deep. With everything that’s going on creating has been emotional. The song, “This land is your land, this land is my land” came to my mind and I knew what I had to create. To really have the change and freedom that we want, we literally have to sow the seeds of the equality we want to see. Physically it would seem easy to plant the seeds but this change has to be resolved on a mental level. It’s a daily job that each one of us has to do within ourselves. In order to put truth to those words, we have to start within."
