Born in the village of Shahpur Turk, Sonipat, Haryana, Ashodhiya’s work is deeply informed by his heritage. He has authored over 380 compositions and contributed to 11 collaborative anthologies. Popularly known as Kavi Anand Shahpur in Haryanvi Literature arena. His dedication to the Haryanvi "Ragni" tradition—exemplified by his recent series on the legend of Heer-Ranjha, Adhrajan, Draupadi, Bhagat Puranmal and Avikavani Haryanvi Ragni Sangrah—seeks to document and revitalize folk art forms that are at risk of fading in the digital age.
