In the last few months, the Global Pandemic have changed people and their lifestyles in drastic measures. During the series of lockdowns, nature started healing with an all-time low pollution, but human life became caged and separated from each other to avoid physical contact. Social distancing is the new normal. People adapted to the current situation and a new way of living. While some have found comfort in new the process, others are still struggling to cope up. Below written are 10 ways in which human life has completely evolved -

1. Untouchable Greetings – Earlier people used to greet each other with firm handshakes, fun high fives, and warm hugs. But it has drastically changed into a distant wave of traditional Namastey in order to avoid any kind of contact. People are switching to verbal meetings or other innovative ways to greet everyone without any point of contact.

2. Workplace – The workplace has changed for everyone as home is the new office now. The strategy of work from home has saved the world as it helps to avoid contact in person. The work is done at the employees’ ease and meetings are conducted over virtual meeting apps. This new way of working is allowing people to work from their cozy corner without commuting. While some of them are definitely enjoying this new lifestyle, others are having a hard time creating a balance between work and home.

3. Hands and Hygiene – Frequently washing hands and sanitizing them has become the most important aspect of life to get rid of germs. While basic hygiene was always preferred, the new normal is pushing the definition of basic. In an entire day, a person at an average is spending more than an hour to wash their hands.

4. Clothing and Outfit – There was a thing called fashion and people are almost losing their sense of it without any purpose of wearing new outfits. With the lockdown, most people are spending their time in PJs and shorts than anything else. There is no more #ootd captions on the photos like before.

5. Meet up with Friends – Whether it is pandemic or not, spending time with friends is a mandatory thing. However, the way of meeting up has definitely changed. It is not anymore chilling at the pubs and restaurants but virtual meets at home. Conference calls, video chats, zoom calls are the platforms to vent out and Netflix is being the new floor to party. Virtual theatres' and music platforms are providing enough relaxation to the people of all ages.

6. Crowd Control – Remember the time, when going out at the peak office hours was the norm? People were used to experience a huge crowd and busy streets most of the time, but everything has changed now. People are now staying at home as a result of which, the busiest street is emptier than a post-apocalyptic film.

7. Shopping Habits - The shopping habits have changed drastically as well. Nowadays, shopping does not include what you like but what you need the most. The fun part is avoided by keeping necessity at the top. It is mainly important groceries and daily needs rather than anythign else. However, snacks are reliable part of midnight binge.

8. Food and Beverages – Mouth-watering food and beverages are out of question as home cooked food has become the new normal. People don’t go over to Starbucks anymore, rather make Dalgona at home. They have started making experiments of creating or trying out new dishes. To quench the thirst for pizza, pasta, wine, and other stuff, people started making these products in alternative ways. Regular dine out has changed with possible take-outs.

9. The Weekend – The word ‘weekend’ itself made people happy as it was the time to make planned outings with their dear ones. Weekends used to be all about fun, enjoyment, love, and gatherings. However, with this series of lockdowns, every day is the same and there are no chance of going out. After a week full of work, people are mainly spending their weekends doing household chores.

10. Mask – Last but not least, the mask has become a mandatory part of this new normal lifestyle. Previously masks were worn by people suffering from dust allergies. Nowadays, it is a rule to wear a mask whenever you're stepping out. Some people are treating it as a fashion statement and others are customizing it to look funky. But they all serve the same purpose of protecting from the corona virus. While some people are feeling claustrophobic inside a mask, others have adapted to it and mask are slowly becoming the most used accessory.
