Zelenskyy Speaks about the Involvement of North Korea with Russia in War

Find out what Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday about North Korea teaming up with Russia to partake in the Ukraine-Russia war along with the USA’s response.

Brussel, Belgium Oct 21, 2024 (Issuewire.com)  - Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he expected a quick and strong reaction from the countries that have shown support for Ukraine to the involvement of North Korea with Russia in the war. On Sunday, he expressed that North Korea is becoming an increasing threat as they have joined forces with Russia and are turning this 2-year-long war even worse. It is a video address that launched at night and Zelenskyy has said that he is not claiming without proof. He said that there are satellite videos and other evidence that prove that North Korea is not only sending weapons, ammunition, and other equipment but also their troops to take part in the war.

Zelenskyy said, "I am grateful to those leaders and representatives of states who do not close their eyes and speak frankly about this cooperation for the sake of a larger war," and also asked for help by saying, "We expect a normal, honest, strong reaction from our partners on this." The President further emphasized the matter and said, "If the world remains silent now and we have to engage soldiers from North Korea on the front line in the same way we have to defend ourselves from (Iranian) Shahed drones, this will certainly benefit no one in the world and only prolong the war."

A new country is taking part in the Russia-Ukraine war and that is North Korea, an autocratic government that is not on good terms with any country. According to a spy agency in South Korea, North Korea has deployed a total of 1,500 special force troops to Russia to partake in war. They’re currently training. On the other hand, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that he could not confirm the help of North Korean Troops from the evidence. NATO chief Mark Rutte further added that Pyongyang's presence is not felt at this stage. In a nutshell, the war has not ended but it is taking a new shape.
