Hamburg, Germany Nov 20, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - Woodlike Ocean the label that crafts swimwear from ocean recovered fishing nets and other recycled materials, makes a critical statement on Black Friday.
From November 21st to 23rd, the brand will raise the prices of their entire swimwear collection by 20%. The collected extra 20% will be donated to the environmental initiative Healthy Seas which is responsible for collecting the ghost fishing nets used to produce the Econyl® yarn, the same yarn the Woodlike label uses for their pieces.
“Our planet is facing a serious waste problem. Our over-consuming and throw-away mentality are only making the problem worst. We need to pay better attention to the manner we consume goods and be very critical with the products we purchase. Let's use these dates to contribute to creating a healthy planet and spread awareness around our environmental issues”, explained Mauricio Palma, co-founder of the brand.
