WINE, WOMEN & FILM ANNOUNCES NEW LOCATION FOR FALL FESTIVAL

Official Event Date: September 23, 2023

Official Event Venue: Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards

Venue Address: 35960 Rancho California Road, Temecula, CA 92591

The Wine, Women & Film Festival, a live event with a focus on supporting women in the arts, wine and film industries, is thrilled to announce that due to overwhelming response and popular demand, the 2nd annual awards ceremony, dinner and film screening will be held in California again this year, but this time in SoCal at Wilson Creek Winery. The venue, established in 1996, became the 14th winery in Temecula Valley and is now one of 50 wineries in the vineyard rich area. The event will still be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

The 7 hour ticket required, private event program spans from 3PM - 10PM and will feature a Red Carpet Photo Opportunity. Attendees will enjoy a Wine Tasting Flight of 5 wines and Social/Networking Mixer (3PM - 4:30PM) in a vineyard setting, then the celebration continues with an acoustic solo set featuring Rebecca Folsom (4:30PM-5PM) as they transition to the Awards Presentation (5PM-6PM) followed by Dinner (6-7PM) and a live screening of short-listed indie films from 7PM-10PM.

Ranked #1 of the Top 10 Wineries in Temecula by TripAdvisor, Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards has racked up 17 awards in 2023 already for its vintages, 4 of which were awarded by Wine Enthusiast Magazine for its 2021 “Barbara” (86 points), 2022 Roussanne (88 Points), 2022 Sauvignon Blanc (91 Points) and the 2022 Viognier (87 points). Wilson Creek Winery’s Creekside Grill has also been touted as “The Best Sunday Brunch'' in the Temecula Valley Wine Region. No stranger to 5 star Yelp reviews, the venue is also complemented by an array of activities in nearby “Old Town” such boutiques, restaurants and nightlife. The Temecula Valley region is also well known for its annual Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival, held the first weekend in June at the Lake Skinner Recreation area.

Wendy Watts, the festival’s Event Director and Co-Creator, underscored the value and significance of this venue selection in alignment with the project’s mission by stating:

“We were thrilled to learn that the Wilson Creek Winery celebrates women in the wine industry. Veteran Winemaker, Kristina Filippi, has been with them for several years while cultivating and perfecting the science of Enology after graduating from the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Academy.” Kristina’s wines have earned gold medals and 90+ ratings, a couple of which include Double Gold and Best in Class for her Petite Sirah, and her Super Tuscan style red blend, Velluto which earned 91 pts from Wine Enthusiast.

The city of Temecula, forming the southwestern anchor of the Inland Empire region, is approximately 58 miles (93 km) north of downtown San Diego and 85 miles (137 km) southeast of downtown Los Angeles. Although Temecula is geographically closer to downtown San Diego than downtown Los Angeles, it is considered part of the Greater Los Angeles area.

Only ticketed attendees will be permitted access to the event space and activities. Any media, brand partnership or sponsorship opportunity inquiries should send inquiry via email to info@winewomenfilm.com.
