Mr. Sudarshan who is one of the most well-known international Compliance gurus in the world does not need an introduction, we have put down just a few of his achievements and background.
Mr. Sudarshan is an engineering graduate holding a wealth of knowledge and experience (over 45 years of work experience) in the Commercial Banking and ISO Certification industries. He brings on board with him over four decades of glorious experience, in the ISO Industry. He has proven proficiency in international Audit and ISO training. He is today a well-known trainer for ISO Lead Auditor Training Courses globally. Mr. Sudarshan has been instrumental in training over 5,000 auditors across 25+ countries. As a global strategist, Mr. Sudarshan has expanded the footprints of certification bodies from zero to 25 countries covering all the continents.
Mr. Sudarshan is an ISMS Lead Auditor for third-party certification and has been actively associated with and audited several reputed banks, financial institutions, and Federal Provident Fund organizations globally (10 countries). He has been associated with four multinational Certification bodies: British Standards Institution, TUV-Sud, SAI Global (Sydney), and Certification Partner Global (Sydney/Dubai). During his career, he has reviewed Data Centres and IT systems in some of the leading and renowned banks and financial institutions such as Chase Manhattan Bank, Bank of India, State Bank of India, Canara Bank, PNB, Standard Chartered Bank, Sterling Bank, Stanbic IBTC Bank, FBN Merchant Bank, Union Bank of Nigeria, Union Bank of UAE, Emirates Bank, RAK Bank, National Bank of Oman, Federal Finance Ministries/Provident Funds in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, payment gateways connected to Citibank & HSBC to name a few.
Mr. Sudarshan has also audited several Financial Service start-ups engaged in Mobile Payments and Net Banking transactions. Adding to his par excellence, Mr. Sudarshan has through his golden career been leading as a banking and IT Audit manager in various banks nationally and internationally. He was the head of the first Computer Audit Cell in BOI (part of the Internal Audit department of Bank of India Head Office) and has also been the IT Audit Manager at Chase Manhattan Bank (SAIB, Saudi Arabia). He has also audited several Data Centres, banking applications, ATMs, and Electronic funds transfer systems during his course of time as an IT Audit Manager.
Mr. Sudarshan is an industry stalwart and a pioneer in many fields:
- Among the first batch from India who passed the CISA exam in June 1990;
- The first to pass the Certified Data Processor & Certified Systems Professional exams of ICCP, the USA in 1990;
- The first Registered ISMS Lead Auditor for BSi in India;
- The first Appraiser for SSE-CMM for System Security Engineering ISO/IEC 21827;
- The first Certified Software Quality Engineer in India;
- The first PCI-DSS Lead Auditor in India in 2003 (at that time known AIS); and
- The first ISMS Skill Examiner (to qualify other ISMS Lead Auditors) for Exemplar Global.
