Lynchburg, Virginia Nov 9, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - New Virginia Prep Sports Academy High School basketball coach Keith Graves talks about the high expectations placed on his Virginia Prep team and "succeeding famously".
"This year will be one of the best-talented teams Virginia Prep basketball team has ever had and we are expecting to perform at a high level " Keith Said. Our boys program has incredibly high expectations from within and from without. We have a great group of guys that are on campus and we are working very hard! We are currently 20-2 and we have our mindset on getting guys in college and winning at the big stage. This past weekend we beat the Georgia State GAAPS 1A champions King's Academy and they really proved how good we are.
We are also a member of the National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA), & the Homeschool athletic association. We are partnered with Penn Foster high School & Connections Academy and our team currently has a 3.9 grade point average. Both academic programs have been great to our guys Graves Said.
(VPSA) is a co-ed preparatory school for grades 6 to 12 + post grad offering a strong academic curriculum and counseling resources to ensure students excel at learning and successfully transition into colleges and universities which match each student's unique needs.
I am very thankful to be apart of the Virginia Prep Sports Academy family! Jackie Woodson Jr , Dion Brinkley & Gwendolyn Irving has done a great job of building football and softball and i just really wanted to come in and win right away in basketball. We are not IMG or Oak Hill and we are not going to baby players and i let that be known to parents. Be ready to work when you get here! Whatever you did before you come here doesn't matter when you come here because you have to prove it when you play top competition.
I really would like for colleges to come out and see some of the talent we have . Virginia Prep Sports Academy is led by 6'5 junior guard Taejin Silva , 6'4 junior Julio Goodridge, 6'3 Senior Reuben Synsmir & 5'9 guard Jakai Gall keith said. We are really slept on because we are located in Lynchburg, Virginia but these guys can go. Other key players are 6'8 Wendell Pierre, 6'7 Micah Graves & Junior transfer Diamond Blakely.
Coach Graves is a 30-year-old basketball coach from Albany, Georgia. Graves holds 6 national FIBA championship titles – a record for a coach of his age and has worked with professional basketball players (O’Darien Bassett and Donnell Harvey) to help refine his coaching techniques.
