Out of thousands of applications from across the world and a rigorous run through by the curators, following entries were declared as finalists of the Literary Awards 2022.

S. K. Meenamani was awarded Emerging Author of the Year for Roads With No Routes. Backstreet Boy: Who Touched the Summit & Beyond—written by Dr Kisholoy Roy who bagged Emerging Author of the Year title as well—is a differentiated biography of former Indian skipper M S Dhoni that celebrates the journey of the individual as a cricketer through various assorted articles that have been meticulously curated by the author.

The historical tale of Sanga Tamil Pandian is based on the observation of Kumarikandam and explains the Tamil civilization, their principles of equality, fraternity and commonwealth, their culture of social justice and their model of good governance in great detail. Bharathipriyan was crowned the Emerging Author of the Year for the same.

Also, a winner of the Emerging Author of the Year award, Vani Pradeep states that her book Soul Feeder has the power to travel along with the reader as a friend and a guide, and acts like a mirror reflecting the readers’ past, present and future.

Rakshith D Murthy took home the Emerging Author of the Year award for Ramarajya. The plot revolves around Seetha, a doctor by profession, finding herself in the shoes of a Prime Minister overnight by a twist of fate. The book dwells on Seetha’s journey of learning the basic foundation of Ramrajya and her strategic decision-making.

Vidya Gopinath’s Voice—Bouquet of Feelings titled her the Poet of the Year. The collection gives voice to feelings felt by both animate and inanimate objects. The poet’s whimsical writing deals with her musings and philosophies about life and nature, with a touch of pathos lingering through it.

Woodsmoke and Embers marked yet another Poet of the Year. Written by Ketaki Mazumdar, it's a compilation of work adjudged amongst the Top 50 Authors of 2021 by The Delhiwire. Ketaki’s poems invariably get under your skin and stir up dormant emotions about love, yearning and passion.

Grandma & Austin's Plant Kingdom is about Austin’s adventures in his grandparents’ big farm back at their place and his affection for learning more about the Plant Kingdom. His imaginative writing won Austin Ajit the Young Adult Author of the Year.

The Woman Writer of the Year was awarded to Dr.Vyjayanthi Subramaniyan for her emphatic writing in Love Letters With Spelling Mistakes. The collection of short stories puts a focus on empowered Indian women facing challenges. The stories speak of disrespectable truths hidden in the honourable silence of the Indian family system.

One of the winners of the Top 30 Books to Look Out For in 2022 is Garima Pradhan. Garima’s declamatory writing style shines through A Girl That Had to Be Strong, where she helps her readers learn how to overcome failure and heartbreak.

The Misfit bagged Payam Sudhakaran the Best Author award. The Misfit revolves around the life of a Kerala youth who leaves his village after encountering a weird situation and unknowingly becomes part of a mission by an anti-government organisation.
