Bronx, New York Aug 14, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Theory 9 Incorporated is proud to announce its 6th Annual Back to School Block Party, a beloved community tradition dedicated to preparing local youth for the new school year with the tools, confidence, and connections they need to succeed. This free, family-friendly event will take place on September 3, 2025 from 2PM to 5PM at Fort #4 Playground.
The block party will feature free backpacks and school supplies, fresh haircuts, exciting raffles, and multiple activation stations designed to engage, inspire, and connect community members. From games and wellness resources to live entertainment and informational booths, the event will provide something for every age group.
"Our Back to School Block Party is about more than just supplies—it’s about creating a space where families feel supported, students feel confident, and the entire community comes together to celebrate education and opportunity," said Shakir Seagers, Founder at Theory 9. The celebration is made possible with the support of Council Member Pierina Sanchez, CPRF Charity, Broad Street Global, MetroPlus Health, Hispanic Federation, Mayor’s Public Engagement Unit, NYC Parks, NYC DOT, Community Board 8, and Washington’s Walk Coalition.
Over the past five years, Theory 9 has equipped thousands of New York City youth with school supplies, hosted hundreds of families, and strengthened community connections. This year, the organization aims to serve more families than ever before.
