Kansas City, Missouri Sep 4, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Urban American Outdoors TV(UAOTV) and SODAS Life, Inc is hosting the Urban Kids Fish Virtual Derby. The national fishing event started on Saturday, August 29, 2020 and now has been extended to Monday Sept 7 till 10pm. A free family fun event opens to all, and you can be anywhere in the country to participate.
Partnering host this year includes US Forest Service, US Fish & Wildlife, National Parks Service, Trout Unlimited, Gates Bar-B-Q and KPRS Hot 103.3. The Urban Kids Fish Virtual Derby is free for youngsters between the ages of 4 to 18 and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. *Most states require anglers between 16 and 65 to have a fishing license. If you are interested in obtaining a fishing license. You can go to your local state website to find where to get your fishing license.

Take your child(ren) to catch a fish during the week of the event at your local lake or pond.
Download and print our Digital Tackle Box Printout to fill in the date and time you caught your fish. Hold up your filled in Digital Tackle Box Printout and take a picture of you holding your fish. Post the picture(s) on Urban Kids Fish Facebook with #ukfvirtual
Wayne Hubbard host of Urban American Outdoors TV said, "This would have been our 15th year of doing the Urban Kids Fishing Derby nationally, but due to COVID 19 we canceled all of our events for safety, but the families still wanted to do something out in nature. So we created this Virtual fishing event, so they could safely go to their favorite fishing spot with their own children and fish during our fishing week, then upload a picture of their catch."
