Henderson, Nevada Dec 13, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - The Public Education Foundation (PEF) celebrates another year of significant progress with the release of its 2025 Annual Impact Report. This prolific progress became possible through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners. Through the organization’s core programs providing post-secondary scholarships, teacher recruitment and retention, school supplies, and reading literacy, The Public Education Foundation demonstrates its commitment to support the 300,000 students and 18,000 educators of the Clark County School District (CCSD). With a specific goal and vision for the next year, PEF suddenly dropped the annual impact report, and it is showing some great progress.
Chair of the PEF Board of Directors and President and CEO of the Latin Chamber of Commerce, Peter Guzman, said, “Behind every scholarship, every new teacher, and every book is a community that shows time and time again that they firmly believe in the critical importance of education.” He also added, “These accomplishments are only possible because of our partners, and together we will transform even more lives in the coming year.”
The Public Education Foundation (PEF) has generated quite impressive results for the students and teachers in 2025, and that showcases its dedication to the education sector. Empowering the needy and students of merit, the foundation has awarded $6.9 million in postsecondary scholarships to more than 750 students through the Scholarships Plus program. Not only students, but PEF also supported 174 newly licensed teachers on their journey to completing UNLV’s Nevada Forward TM teacher apprenticeship program and teaching more than 5,200 students in their own classrooms through Teacher FastTrack. Similarly, it has distributed 1,156 Classroom in a Box kits and inspired over 34,680 students. The foundation has also distributed more than 86,000 free books to more than 40,000 students through the Book Bus, which is a partnership with CCSD and Spread the Word Nevada.
This massive amount of support would not have been possible without the help of 643 community volunteers who contributed more than 3,400 hours in support of local teachers and students. PEF works directly with the Clark County community and CCSD to meet critical education needs for public school students. The foundation is currently encouraging community members who are looking forward to supporting the educators and students to help them benefit from PEF programming.
