The Princess Who Created a New Magical World of Personalised Children’s Stories

London, England Nov 30, 2018 (Issuewire.com)  - Once upon a time, but not many years ago, there lived a young princess, and her name was Catherine Bouhet Walker. Like all women of her age, she worked tirelessly at big companies and learned all about technologies. But something was amiss. She was missing out on reading inspiring stories for children, and so she embarked on a difficult journey.

Catherine had worked for two decades leading global teams, and in the process had acquired valuable skills in talent acquisition. Her passion for technology was demonstrated at companies like Microsoft, Cisco and T Mobile. So, she mused over how to combine the wonderful powers of technology with how children could learn better, and thus create a complete, well-rounded learning experience.

One day inspiration struck her, just like it always does… like a big bolt from the skies. She thought about how her daughters enjoyed bedtime stories more when she included their own names and those of their friends.

That was it! The idea of My World and I was born. Catherine was to write stories that were personalized for the kids, making the kids the heroes they saw themselves as. One of her daughters also had a genetic condition related to learning difficulties. So Catherine worked her magic again, talking and learning from children’s experts in psychology, speech therapy, neuropsychology, and school directors.

“I understood that the best way to learn is through games and having fun. I am also very much inspired by the Montessori methodology. All our stories aim to stimulate learning and enhance reading passion from an early age and have been designed with high-quality original artwork with bright colours to fully engage a child’s imagination,” says Catherine.

Catherine wrote her first book, and her fame grew by word of mouth. Soon My World and I was getting distribution licenses from the world over. Today, MWI offers personalized books in English and other languages, Music CDs, Cartoon DVDs, and poems and letters. Every month, her company sells thousands of storybooks, with distributors across 24 different countries.

My World and I is about making children learn the fun way, and develop their morale, self-esteem, and confidence. These are the unique stories Catherine wanted to write, and today she is the queen of children’s educational publishing and learning industry in the whole world.
