On Monday, his family shared the news with everyone. His family shared a statement on Instagram that said, ‘Sam was surrounded by family and passed with the dignity that has characterized his whole life. The loss was sudden and unexpected but blessed by the fact that Sam remained cancer free’. They haven’t said what caused his death but made sure that it wasn’t cancer.
Neill was suffering from blood cancer for many years, and he was under treatment throughout all those years. This April, there was an announcement that he was cancer-free after years of treatment. And now, suddenly, he died, which was quite unexpected. The actor was staying in Sydney, and the incident took place there as well. In the 1993 Steven Spielberg movie, ‘Jurassic Park’, he played the role of paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant. He got massive appreciation for this specific role. It also led him to gain international appreciation as well.
He was globally known as one of the talented actors. The New Zealand Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon, also praised his acting and his impact on New Zealand and abroad.
