DC, Washington Dec 16, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - A new organization is focused on reducing the racial gap in coaching and helping Black coaches find their footing and maximize their careers. The goal of the International Black Coaches Alliance (IBCA) is to promote professional coaching excellence, empower Black coaches across the globe, and elevate representation while expanding access to highly skilled and professional Black coaches.
Here is the IBCA’s mission:
- Promote coaching excellence in all we
- Provide community, collaboration, mentorship, and developmental resources to support coaches in building successful careers.
- Empower coaches through continuing coach education and skill-building, certification programs, and leadership development.
- Advocate for equitable coaching opportunities on coaching benches and in hiring practices for coaches across all organizations and institutions.
The global community of coaches is increasingly acknowledging its ability to change the world, one coaching conversation at a time. The IBCA recognizes the glaring inequalities within the community of professional coaches and is addressing them with focused and committed action. It welcomes coaches at all stages of their coaching careers, as well as allies and organizations who share the IBCA’s vision, to lend their talent, time, and partnership towards meeting the IBCA’s mission.
