Roswell, Georgia Nov 11, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - The George Center Foundation Partners with FINEOS and Limelight Health on Virtual Concert Raising Awareness for Mental Health
The George Center Foundation, a local Roswell based 501(c)(3) non-profit, was chosen as the beneficiary of the Limelight Health Sunset Concert hosted by FINEOS and Limelight Health. The virtual concert will showcase the talents of employees from both companies plus clients and partners to celebrate the FINEOS and Limelight Health integration. The acquisition brings together two companies with a passion for innovation and the well-being of others. FINEOS and Limelight Health selected The George Center Foundation based on their common belief in the benefits of music therapy for mental health.
As many of their employees used music as a coping mechanism during this difficult year, the companies hope their contribution will provide similar opportunities for the populations The George Center Foundation serves. Limelight Health began their concert series in March of 2020, to boost company morale and bring employees together during the quarantine. This concert will be the final in the series to officially sunset the brand as they fully transition to FINEOS. The funds raised through the concert will provide desperately needed scholarships for music therapy services.
Hannah Rhinehart, LPMT, MT-BC, Neurologic Music Therapist and Executive Director of The George Center Foundation, stated “music therapy is integral in providing needed connections especially in our clients that have been severely isolated during COVID-19. The nature of treatment for many mental health and mood disorders often involves physical proximity and human connection. Unfortunately, this is just not possible during a pandemic, but can be alleviated in music therapy. In addition, many of our clients lack the financial resources to seek help due to job loss and funding cuts. The George Center strives to provide a safe and productive outlet to address mental health concerns. We are so thankful for FINEOS and Limelight Health for sharing our passions and helping us achieve our mission. We are also looking forward to cheering on all of the talented musicians from these great organizations!”
