Milton, Ontario Jul 29, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of one of Canada’s largest and longest-standing car clubs. To celebrate this milestone, organizers have created a spectacle of epic proportions with over 200 participants including Club members, sponsors, special guests, and automotive journalists. Attendees will tour the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum exhibits, listen to speakers, have their cars pose for glamour shots with vintage aircraft, enjoy lunch including a large birthday cake and participate in a “Corvette Corral” of almost 100 vehicles on the tarmac alongside restored wartime flying heroes. In addition, there will be a very special and rare display featuring all 8 generations of the marque including one of the earliest models manufactured in the 1950s and the newest mid-engine version that embodies the latest technology that took years to develop.
Originally founded in 1962 by 6 visionaries with a love of this iconic car, the Corvette Club of Ontario was the first of its kind in Canada and has grown and prospered over the last 60 years to become the largest in the country as well. Members range from first-time owners to seasoned aficionados with many examples. The common denominator is a love of these steel and fiberglass masterpieces. The pride of Corvette ownership is immense amongst our members. It’s not simply a car but a car culture.
