‘The CJ Steele Show’ Comedy From Jay Walker & Linda Hubbard Gets Series Order on LMAO Networks In Move From Hulu

LMAO has greenlit a new series from producer/director Jay Walker dubbed The CJ Steele Show, the network said Saturday.

Burbank, California Sep 20, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - LMAO Networks has picked up scripted comedy The CJ Steele Show from the creator/executive Jay Walker and executive producer Linda Hubbard with a 20-episode series order. The project had previously received a pilot order at Hulu.

The series, the second show created under LMAO owner WoahRae’s exclusive multi-year partnership deal with Walker, follows CJ, a wealthy, pampered guy from Malibu, Calif., who moves to Philadelphia to live with his working-class relatives after his father loses all of his money, according to LMAO.

The project, which had been set up at Fox with a different writer, where it had a put pilot commitment, had quietly found a new home at Hulu where it was greenlighted to pilot.

Hubbard, Brown, and Jay Walker (who serves as the series’ showrunner) will executive produce, alongside CJ Steele, who also penned the pilot.
