Gozo and Comino, Malta Nov 10, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - Pax Film Industries announced today that it has attached Hollywood screenwriter Duncan Falconer to write & direct its motion picture entitled “Tears in the Sand” based on an original story by Chris Peschken ('Max Havoc: Ring of Fire', 'The Spy Within') and Ganea Tiberiu. Peschken will executive produce for Pax Film Industries, Ltd. This is Duncan Falconer's directorial debut.
According to Peschken, “The film will illuminate the human condition, work against stereotyping of refugees, and raise awareness of Human Trafficking. All wrapped into an international, wide audience appealing action/drama format. The film is about love & hope.”
Scribe Falconer is a former member of British elite Special Forces, the Special Boat Service and also undercover operative in Military Intelligence top-secret 14th Intelligence Detachment. Guide to journalists in war zones and global hostile environments since 2001. Crisis Management specialist for major companies, dealing with kidnap & ransoms, evacuations, disasters. The novelist with 10 published books (Duncan Falconer Action Series), Screenwriter of 4 movies and co-executive producer of TV's “Pacific Blue”.
The film will be lensed by veteran DP Douglas Milsome, A.S.C., B.S.C. (Soldiers, Dungeons & Dragons, Legionnaire, Full Metal Jacket)
Peschken, who currently is an accredited TV correspondent at the United Nations, Geneva, developed the project after several meetings with U.N. Ambassadors and Humanitarian Aid Organizations especially engaged on the scene in Aleppo, Syria.
“Tears in the Sand” is an action drama. I do not believe in TV films or documentaries about these subject matters. They cause no serious impact. Therefore we aim to create a powerful, Hollywood style action drama movie.” says Peschken.
The budget is moderate and was not disclosed. The film will be shot entirely on the island of Malta in 2019.
Negotiations are under way for a major Hollywood Action Movie Star for the Protagonist lead.
Action Star Matthias Hues will play the Antagonist.
The 2nd leads will be played by a Syrian Actress and real Syrian refugee girl.
