Los Angeles, California May 22, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - TEC Leimert, a South LA-based Technology and Entertainment non-profit organization that is paving the way for LA’s creative community to grow their talents through workforce development programs for creative economy careers, announces the launch of its Summer session schedule for its Audio Affect music production program series.
The new training sessions take place from July 25 through July 27 during a three-day workshop series at Volume Studios in Inglewood, CA. The Audio Affect music series is tailored especially towards young creatives in South Los Angeles looking to explore their creative talents for careers in the music entertainment industry. The Audio Affect music series is a collaborative partnership with Serato and Undefeated, that provide a culturally grounded entry point into music technology and production training for South LA creatives.

The Audio Affect music series provides students with an immersive in-studio experience that’s designed to help intermediate to advanced producers level up as they learn from a powerful roster of industry legends like Grammy-winning producer, DJ Khalil, funk pioneer DāM-FunK, Grammy-winning artist/producer, Iman Oman and many more.
“Serato and TEC Leimert are doing some innovative things with Audio Affect that’s helping students to learn the technology of music and explore the art of sampling that helps crowds to experience the music we know of in a new and different way,” stated DāM-FunK.
As South LA creatives continue to witness the surge of the iconic culture and sound that is shaping L.A. music today, the Audio Affect Series provides an opportunity to add to the soundtrack of the city by refining their sound design and elevating their music creativity to new heights.
Applications are now being accepted for the music production series that culminates with an opportunity for participants to be featured on the 2nd volume of the official Audio Affect Series Beat Tape, Vol. 2.
