New Delhi, Delhi Nov 5, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Known for her Sufi and Qawwali renditions, singer Sonia Arora is always keen on trying something new. So when the opportunity to work on a peppy song, Laado, came her way, Sonia immediately took it up. She recorded the original track on her birthday, October 6.
In the interview, she was asked about her new song “Laado”. On that, she said that Laado is very special to her. For the first time, she has done a proper peppy, dance number and working with music producer “Eric Pillai” means her a lot. She has shot the original track with the model and actress Tanaya Sachdeva and she hopes that this song will build a connection between her and listeners.
The song is expected to release soon. And, if it works out well, she plans to come out with more singles.
The singer does a lot of live shows and also performs at private events. She had earlier recorded a song titled Jhankar with singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. However, the song that was supposed to release earlier this year, got stuck. And Sonia is hopeful that the track too would be out soon.
Meanwhile, the singer is keen to work in Bollywood. She is a fan of actor Deepika Padukone and would love to lend her voice for her songs.
She added in the interview that she would like to sing for all the actresses but especially for the Deepika Padukone. As far as the musician is concerned, A R Rahman is someone that she looks up to. There have been occasions when she was performing on stage and Rahman sir was part of the audience. She was told that he liked her performance and he even asked for her contact. She is hoping to collaborate with Rahman sir soon.
Sonia Arora’s eight-year daughter also enjoys her music. Music is there in her family. Her father Late Baldevraj Arora was a qawwali singer. Her mother Late Raj Dulhari encouraged her and her siblings to pursue the art form. After the death of her parents, her elder brother, pianist Praveen Arora and her sister helped her to nurture her singing talent. Now, her daughter takes a keen interest in the music too and she has already released her debut devotional song.
