Makoons Ovala branch Annual Sports Day for the year 2023 was organized on 7th January 2023 in Samarambh Lawns (Near Courtyard), Ovale with lots of excitement and Passion. The event was graced by the guests of honour, Smt. Meenakshi Tai Shinde & Shri. Siddharth Ovalekarji.
This event included a variety of sports and recreational activities including March Past, Agility Drill, Zumba, Yoga, PE drill, and a variety of races. Kids from Playgroup to Jr Kg took part in all the events. Races that gave social messages like No Plastic and No Horn were very well accepted by the audience. Sports day started with an opening remark and national anthem and concluded with the closing mark by the principal.
Commenting on this occasion, Ms. Meenakshi Shanbhag, Principal said,
“ Do not compete with others. You are your own competition. Strive to improve yourself with each passing day. Never give up, Never give in”
This Year Makoons Ovala branch has completed 5 years of its incorporation. After 2 years of rigorous lockdown, we got this opportunity to host a physical event on a broader scale. Our Annual sports day is not only about races and competitions but aims to provide a platform for the kids to showcase their talents.
These events not only fill kids with excitement but also teach them life lessons like abiding by rules, strength in unity and team play & how to accept when others win, and learning our lesson to do better next time.
In our school, we are inculcating the change which we want to see tomorrow in our society. Subjects like no horns, no plastic, growing more trees, Clean India, and eating healthy leave a positive impression on young minds, and somewhere parents are becoming conscious of this subject. Through these tiny little efforts, we are trying to fulfill our responsibility towards nation-building. While doing all these events we are ensuring the safety and hygiene of our kids as our top priority. Lastly, I would like to thank all my colleagues and parents for their support and the guest of honour for enlightening us with their gracious presence.
