SKN Citizenship Unit opens biometric enrolment centres in London, Abu Dhabi and Toronto on 1 June

Saint George Basseterre, Saint Kitts And Nevis Jun 10, 2026 (Issuewire.com)  - The St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Unit will open biometric enrolment centres in London, Abu Dhabi and Toronto from 1 June 2026, doubling the live network of the National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme to six global hubs within one month of launch.

The three new locations join existing centres in St Kitts, Hong Kong and Dubai, which became operational on 1 May 2026. A mobile unit in Istanbul and further sites will follow in the coming months.

The programme requires all citizens who acquired citizenship under the Citizenship Programme, including dependants, to complete biometric enrolment by 31 July 2027. Each appointment lasts 15 to 30 minutes and captures fingerprints, a digital facial image and a digital signature. New applicants can book biometric appointments once their application reaches the Approval in Principle stage.

The Citizenship Unit said the rollout in major financial centres reflects the international distribution of St. Kitts and Nevis citizens and is designed to limit travel requirements for those completing enrolment. Citizens are expected to book at the centre most convenient to them through the official government platform.

The process operates in three stages on the official government platform. Each citizen creates an account using a registration link or unique code provided by their authorised agent, completes the application form, selects an appointment slot and proceeds to payment. The agent reviews and confirms the booking in the administrative portal, after which the appointment is finalised. The citizen then attends in person, and confirmation is sent to both parties once biometric data is collected.

Standard enrolment fees are 2500 USD for the main adult applicant aged 16 and over, 2000 USD for a second adult applicant and 1300 USD for children under 16. Authorised agent fees apply separately. The biometric enrolment fee is waived for citizens and applicants who attended the recent IGS event, with authorised agent fees continuing to apply. Attendance must be confirmed at the payment stage for the waiver to register correctly.

Passports are not surrendered at the appointment. They are presented for identification only, and the standard passport application and renewal process continues until further notice. Adults will not be required to re enrol biometric data at every renewal, with biometric validation occurring during the normal passport renewal process and no separate biometric fee charged.

The Citizenship Unit said the official government platform is the only authorised channel for booking and payment. Any third party offering biometric services outside the platform is not authorised, and citizens should report such offers to the Citizenship Unit immediately.

Further information on passport integration, document delivery and additional centre openings will be released in due course.
