(CWSC) today announced the formal completion of a manufacturing expansion at its primary facility in the Songjiang District of Shanghai. The operational expansion scales the company's production capacity for automated ultra-high purity (UHP) chemical and slurry distribution systems, directly addressing increasing structural demand from advanced semiconductor fabrication lines, flat panel display manufacturers, and battery gigafactories.
The infrastructure expansion utilizes a portion of the company’s 4,000-square-meter footprint to establish additional precision assembly lines and an extended Class 100 cleanroom environment. This specialized area will support the high-volume integration of automated Bulk Chemical Delivery Systems (BCDS) and Slurry Delivery Systems (SDS). These modular units rely on electropolished 316L stainless steel piping and specialized fluoropolymer fluid loops to deliver process chemicals during core wafer fabrication stages, such as chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) and wet etching, where micro-contamination impacts overall substrate yields.
Beyond serving primary wafer fabrication environments, the expanded production lines will supply fluid management equipment to seven other high-technology sectors. These include high-brightness light-emitting diodes (LEDs) utilizing metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD), thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs), active-matrix organic light-emitting diodes (AMOLEDs), and multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs). The infrastructure is also configured to meet the volume requirements of the renewable energy sector, supplying automated chemical dosing loops to photovoltaic solar cell manufacturing plants and lithium-ion battery assembly lines.
A significant portion of the expanded output will target centralized gas distribution networks for precision laboratories and university core research facilities. These systems replace decentralized gas cylinders with centralized external distribution structures, incorporating programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automatic nitrogen vacuum purging sequences, and continuous leak-detection networks to manage specialty gases safely up to a 99.9999% purity threshold.
