Seattle, Washington Jan 24, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - Seattle Veterinary Outreach (“SVO”) celebrated the end of its inaugural year by announcing that Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, Karr Tuttle Campbell, and Sound Capital Group LLC have come forward with financial support that will allow SVO to continue and expand its services in 2020.

Serving the homeless community in the Greater Seattle area since 2018, SVO was founded on the premise that improving a lot of homeless pets will encourage and support owners who are searching for a path out of homelessness. SVO establishes relationships with clients through its mobile veterinary clinics and builds on those relationships by providing referrals to social services agencies or other community support organizations.

“Rather than simply complaining about homelessness, as so many of us have done, I love that Seattle Veterinary Outreach is doing something about it by taking such a novel approach”, said Dave Huey, Sound Capital. “The SVO program is creative, the people are passionate and we’re proud to be a part of it.”

“We are happy that we were able to support Seattle Veterinary Outreach’s work to provide services to people experiencing homelessness and their pets,” said Rob Jackson, CEO of Healthy Paws Pet Insurance & Foundation. “We understand the intense bond between people and their pets, no matter their circumstances, and this cause fits our passion to assure a better life for all animals.”

Says SVO founder and Executive Director Hanna Ekstrӧm: “We understand that the health and welfare of humans and animals are firmly intertwined. Building relationships with our clients and their pets is the most important aspect of what we do - it creates trust and builds hope that we believe is critical to taking steps toward leaving homelessness behind. We very much appreciate that Karr Tuttle Campbell, Sound Capital Group and Healthy Paws Pet Insurance share our vision. Their generosity will enable us to engage and encourage our homeless clients to see, and realize a brighter future.”
