Churu, Rajasthan Jul 4, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - Salasar Balaji Dham, a religious place of faith and reverence of thousands of people, is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. This holy shrine is situated on the National Highway 65 of Rajasthan at a place called Salasar near Sujangarh in the Churu district. Salasar Dham is situated in the middle of Salasar town. Every year thousands of devotees come here from every corner of the country with their wishes every day to see Balaji. However, the temple was closed for a long time, in wake of the Covid lockdowns.

Special pujas are organized on the occasion of Chaitra Purnima and Ashwin Purnima and grand fairs are held here in which lakhs of devotees reach. As miraculous as the story of the appearance of Bala Ji, the temple is also believed to be miraculous and fulfills the wishes of the devotees.

Famous in the country and abroad, this Salasar Balaji Dham is more than 260 years old. According to the Hanuman Seva Committee of the temple management, the temple was established on the Navami of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan in Vikram Samvat 1811. In the temple, the villagers brought the idol of Hanuman Ji from Asota village. With the passage of time, this place became famous all over the world The samadhi of Mohandas Ji, a devotee of Balaji, is situated in the temple and the fire pit lit by Mohandas Ji is also situated there. It is believed that all sorrows and sufferings are destroyed by the blessings of this fire pit.

Balaji's dhuni (the fire pit) is also considered miraculous. It is said that Baba Mohandas ji had lit this Dhuni 300 years ago, which is still ignited.

The Importance Of Salasar Balaji Dham

The importance of Balaji of Salasar is that there is no such idol anywhere else in the country in the form in which the idol of Balaji is located here. Here, Lord Hanuman’s idol is shown in mustache and beard which represents the adult form of Hanuman Ji. Devotees pray for the fulfilment of their wishes by tying a coconut on an ancient tree located in the temple premises.

Live Darshan Facility Available For Salasar Balaji Dham

In wake of the Covid guidelines, the temple was shut down for a long time. However, now with effective rules and guidelines, the temple was open for devotee visits from 1st July 2021. Only 200-250 devotees are allowed to enter the temple for darshan that too with a certificate of vaccination or negative report of PTPCR/PAPID test. The interested devotees will also have to book a time slot and get a token in order to visit the temple.

If you are unable to get the token, do not be disheartened. Devotees can take the advantage of Live Darshan facility initiated by Nitin Pujari Ji, on his social media handles, Instagram and Facebook. Since the temple authorities are taking all the precautions to limit the crowd and not trigger the spread of the virus, devotees are requested to follow the Covid guidelines and protocols for the temple visit.

Keeping in mind the welfare of the people, the temple priest, Nitin Pujari Ji, began the live darshan facility some time back. Even if the devotees are not able to visit the temple physically, they can make the most of this live darshan and take the blessings of Salasar Balaji sitting at their home.

The temple priests pray for the well being and healthy life of all the devotees and request them to adhere to the guidelines. If it is not completely necessary, the devotees are requested to see the live darshan from home itself, rather than travelling to the temple. Your safety is our priority,” says Nitin Pujari Ji
