Ryals, (Mike Ryals Ilani), was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, and currently resides in New York City. His style ranges from pop to pop-soul, with inspiration from musical theater, classical music, and pop. Before moving to the United States, Ryals attended the Kiev Academy of the Arts where he developed his triple threat skills in dancing, singing, and acting. And worked as a musical theater performer.
Ryals is an advocate for the LGBTQ+ international community, asylum seekers, refugees, and ending violence and persecution to oppressed people. He is passionate about helping organizations such as Rainbow Railroad, which provides valuable relocation assistance to vulnerable LGBTQ+ people around the globe.
Ryals regularly writes for multiple international artists across genres, including writing the words to Under The Ladder, sung by co-writer Melovin and featured in the 2018 Eurovision contest.
