San Francisco, California Jun 2, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Rob Berry recently released his tell-all account of life as a casino employee. “Everyday I’m Shuffling” is the culmination of almost ten years of research, insight, and experience. This book does not glorify casinos but is meant to provide an honest insight into the life of a casino employee. There are many books out there detailing the jobs within sectors such as finance, F&B, and technology, but few or none about the role of a casino employee.
Beneath his engaging writing style and casual tone, Rob doesn’t shy away from the darker side of casinos. “Everyday I’m Shuffling” delves into the psychological impact of engaging with customers who are losing their savings and the fight casino employees face to receive fair treatment. Rob pulls no punches in this honest look at the everyday life of a seasoned table games dealer.
Ultimately, Rob aspires to make people laugh with his book, even as he provides details that would shock the average casual gambler. Readers of any background can relate to Rob’s humorous anecdotes and personal experiences with colorful characters. He compares working as a dealer to living inside the People of Walmart website. For gamblers, “Everyday I’m Shuffling” is a chance to get inside the mind of a dealer and understand the perspective from the opposite side of the table.
“Everyday I’m Shuffling” represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for author Rob Berry. He hopes that this memoir will shed some light on the casino industry and challenge the preconceived notions that outsiders often have about what it’s like to be a dealer. Rob has always loved being center stage, whether as a college pitcher or a high-energy dealer. He’s about to give you a peek behind the curtain.
“Everyday I’m Shuffling” is available on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback versions. The official book trailer is available for viewing on Youtube:
