Candice Boyd is no stranger to entertainment and her one of a kind vocal ability is only the beginning as she is not taking over the big screen starring as Detective Joselyn Diaz in the family drama "Hear My Cry" coming to select theaters April 17, 2021.

I was shocked.." says Writer and Director JL "Latino" (TLG) - Hear My Cry is a story of two brothers, Oliver Pryor (played by Josh Smith) and Blake Pryor (played by Percell "P Will" Williams) that were separated at a young age after their parents were killed in a home invasion by The Westside Killers", a local gang that sought out retaliation against their father after he prosecuted a murder case against one of their high profile crew members.
Oliver, the youngest of the two brothers was adopted by a pastoral family and grows up to become a police officer and now a detective. Blake, the older brother was tossed from foster home to foster home eventually aging out and becoming a member of the West Side Killers (WSK). When a supermarket robbery occurs Oliver's adopted mother is killed during the robbery. As forensics comes back on the crime scene a similar match to Oliver's DNA is found and it is discovered that Oliver does indeed have a brother who is apart of the WSK.
Chief Jackson (played by Jeff Hoover) assigns Metro PD's "top cop" Detective Juan Diaz (played by JL "Latino") to assemble a team to find the murderer and take down the WSK. After assembling his team, Juan is ordered to bring on his soon to be ex-wife Detective Joselyn Diaz (played by Candice Boyd) who is one of the best Detectives in the department. Also joining the team is Metro PD Drug Task Force Detective Olivia Patterson (played by Cierra Levay Broadway), a small girl with a huge attitude who is dealing with issues of her own. As the story continues Oliver is confronted with depression and vengeance. When Oliver comes face to face with his brother Blake, the outcome will shock you. Hear My Cry is a story of forgiveness, reconciliation, brotherhood, friendship, women empowerment faith and hope.
