Growing up, Pedro dreamt of world unity. This meant being part of one human family, no matter where we are from or what we may believe. This desire gave Pedro the hope that one day it will be possible to design a more inclusive world voting system by truly including all people worldwide. In giving each person a direct voice in world affairs we can have a more unified global voice.
Pedro calls for religious, racial, political, and gender understanding of our diverse humanity. The idea of a global voting system strikes as a modern-day solution to bridging the gap between various communities and partake with one another a global platform. Pedro strives not only to reconcile differing world views but also to continue learning about many different aspects of our shared World Culture.
As a rising reggae artist, Pedro identified with world reggae music as a genre deeply rooted in spirituality, social change, and unity. Music became a way to speak of matters that resonated from deep within his heart. In being more open to others’ experiences, we can better balance and understand conflicting and opposing ideas towards achieving unity.
Pedro's music is truly a celebration of love and life. During performances, a small sacred space is created on stage with an acacia table. On it, there is a water bowl, candle, burning incense, and loaf of bread. This transcendental presentation of worldly and unworldly concepts on stage during his expressive take on music is described by him as, “Water reflects the infinite abundance of our offering, and what we cultivate through our heart’s intention. The lit candle illuminates our purpose in life in guiding and reminding us to who we truly are. Burning Incense inspires us to elevate every word, thought, and action. Bread is a symbol of unity, envisioning the oneness of life and coexistence with one another.”
This World Citizen has created these sacred spaces as a headliner during the World Beat Festival which is one of the largest multicultural events in Oregon bringing over 25,000 visitors each year; on the main stage of Make Music Day that brings together a mass appeal of musicians and audiences from across the globe, and the Northwest World Reggae Festival with some of the best reggae artists from around the world.
