Her interest and passion for a career in show business intensified while attending J.A. Rodgers Middle School in Kansas City, and Olathe North High School in Olathe, Kansas, where she was a regular at the school talent shows. After a semester in college and a semester in flight attendant school in Washington, D.C., she decided to go out on faith and pursue her career FULL TIME.
She moved to New York City without having any connections and quickly began to submerge herself in the independent music/film scenes, training with acclaimed acting coaches.
She hosted many events, participated in many modeling hair shows, and acted in a slew of indie film releases, culminating in a starring role on WeTV’s Love After Lockup Season 3 in the summer of 2020. Shavel has since started on Season 4.
