Solana Beach, California Sep 3, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Prevost Construction has expanded its footprint to new markets. The San-Diego based general contractor officially announced the acquisition of the Senior Housing Rehabilitation Division of Morrissey Construction Corporation (MCC). The new venture will provide construction services for senior housing renovation projects and multi-family facilities across California and nearby states.
With the recent acquisition, Prevost now employs over 60 dedicated industry professionals providing construction services across multiple segments for their valued clients. The combined team has already engaged on several projects in the affordable housing sector according to Director of Construction, Jimmer Lopez. MCC has built a presence in the industry over its twenty-year history in Oceanside, working with recognized non-profits like Retirement Housing Foundation and Elderly Housing Development & Operations Corporation.

To accommodate the growth, the company will relocate headquarters from Solana Beach to Carlsbad. In celebration of the first milestone in construction, Prevost hosted a company lunch on Wednesday, Aug. 18 for employees to tour the new property. The new office is expected to open at the beginning of 2022.
Located on Avenida Encinas, the 10,000 square-foot building will undergo a full exterior expansion with a new storefront and entry. Features include a full-transparent lobby to an outdoor patio, new creative office space with open workstations, private offices, a community-style break room with a shuffleboard table, and a golf simulator to entertain customers and employees.
