In 2005, he joined the Saint Barnabas Medical Center, where he completed his general surgery residency following an internship at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York.
Among his various achievements, Dr. Paragi is board-certified through the American Board of Surgery, which is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. He has contributed extensively to surgical literature, as well as has presented on a variety of surgical topics such as weight loss and bariatric surgery at numerous meetings both nationally and internationally.
