The pioneer of Indian Television Thrillers Heeren Adhikari has returned with GEN Z Cybercrime Webseries ‘Weekend Club’ produced by Kiran Lanjewar of Vibro Motion Pictures, this cyber-crime thriller webseries is now streaming on Hungama OTT. This Gen Z Cyber-crime Thriller ‘Weekend Club’ was launched by Shri Yashasvi Yadav, Addition Director General of Police, Maharashtra Cyber Department on the eve of Cyber Crime Awareness Month on October 5, 2025 in Mumbai. Speaking on this occasion Mr. Yadav said, “India has lost a staggering Rs 22,845.73 crore to cyber criminals in 2024 a sharp 206% increase of from 7465 Crores in 2023.Over 36 lakhs cases reported in 2024.In India a critical increase in sophisticated cyber threats and a growing attack surface due to rapid digital expansion, with a rise in malware detections, financial scams, digital arrests, sextorsion and AI-powered attacks targeting vulnerable groups like the elderly.
