Bulacan, Philippines May 14, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Orbital Exploration Technologies, Inc. (OrbitX), a secretive organization dedicated to pushing the boundaries of space technology, announced today its plans to build a rocket engine test facility and launchpad in the Philippines. The facility is aimed to support the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA), the Department of National Defense (DND), and the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and will cater to international collaborators, partners, and customers.
"We are excited to announce this project that will not only support the Philippine space program but also inspire innovation and research in the aerospace industry," said Dexter P. Bano Jr., founder of Orbital Exploration Technologies, Inc. (OrbitX). "We are looking forward to building a long-lasting friendship and working relationship with the Philippine Space Agency, the Department of National Defense, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Philippine Economic Zone Authority in whatever capacity to make this endeavor possible."
OrbitX is seeking a construction firm partner with expertise in structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and safety systems design to collaborate on the design and construction of the facility. Interested firms may send their inquiries and proposals to fly@orbitalx.space by June 30, 2023, at 11:59 PM GMT+8 (Philippine Time).
"We are a secretive organization, but we believe that this project will pave the way for a brighter future in space exploration," added Bano. "We look forward to collaborating with a partner who shares our vision for creating a world-class rocket engine testing facility and launchpad in the Philippines."
OrbitX plans to host its Haribon SLS-1 rocket in the facility, which will undergo engine testing before its maiden launch. The rocket will be capable of carrying small payloads to low Earth orbit.
