Philadelphia-based DJ Slice shares his thoughts on “Electric Sun”

A Slice of Positivity

Toronto, Ontario Apr 24, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - “There is music that lifts your mood when you’re feeling down and music that can motivate you to reach the next level. That’s what I hear when I am listening to Electric Sun.” These are the words of Chris Rodriguez, or better known in the music scene as DJ Slice, as he talked about his view towards the recently released track of Stephan McNicoll. “Music is a therapy for the soul and mind to get you through life,” he added.

Chris is currently a DJ in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, spinning songs of all genres. Chris discovered his love for music at a very young age when he would spend his days listening to Freestyle, Hip Hop, and R&B. He enjoyed the mixes of DJ AM, DJ Jay Ski, and DJ Touchtone. This desire led him to Wildwood back in 2000, where he started to realize his dreams.

Over the years, Chris began to expand his reach, where he eventually worked with DJ Master J and M&J Entertainment to perform at private parties and nightclubs. He was offered a board operator position in Coastal Broadcasting System, where he hoped to be a live radio DJ someday. But the world had other plans for him.

When he moved to Philadelphia, Chris met DJ TY of Unlimited Entertainment and began to make a name for himself. This career boost allowed him to create Wow Factor Entertainment – a "one-stop-shop” to clients with their entertainment needs. In 2016, we finally got a taste of DJ Slice when he was offered the opportunity to host his live mix show on 98.7 FM WCZT The Coast and sister station 106.3 FM The Shore WJSE.

DJ Slice has been at the peak of his career these past few years. He won first place in the DJ Invitational by Foam ‘n’ Glow, the City of Wildwood awarded him a plaque of appreciation, and he got to perform at the 2018 March Freestyle Madness and at the 2019 Old Skool Throwback party alongside music icons and legends he grew up listening to as a child.

DJ Slice got the opportunity of a lifetime when Stevie B, The King of Freestyle, called and asked him to be his Official DJ. Stevie B also offered him a Director position under his company Royalty Radio. Not to mention new gigs as a mix show host with West Coast radio stations; Rhythm 105.9, Weow 92.7, and 100.9 The Heat. Recently, DJ Slice DJ received an email to be a guest mixer for SiriusXM's Pitbull's Globalization Channel 13.

DJ Slice’s goal is to become a renowned music influencer. He wants to spread positive vibes and touch as many lives as he can in the process. Adding to his previous statements, he said: “Hopefully, when I spin music, I have fueled your soul and reminded you of the impact it has on each one of us. When he heard of “Electric Sun,” he had nothing but encouraging words to say because he was able to connect to the message [and the beat of the song].
