Pandemic inspires toy collector to launch a new print magazine

Toy-Ventures magazine arises out of a bad situation

Oshawa, Ontario Nov 12, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - While so many businesses were forced to close this year, collector and author Brian Heiler chose to use his downtime to launch a new endeavor, an old school print publication for vintage toy collectors.

Toy-Ventures, based on the popular YouTube series of the same name and explores playthings of the 1960s to the 1990s, many of which have never gotten much attention.

"Like a lot of people, I got laid off and knew I'd need a project to keep my mind busy" explains Heiler, adding "I've been collecting old toys for 35 years and I kept hearing from other collectors how much they missed toy magazines"

Toy-Ventures Issue One was launched via crowdfunding and reached 100% of its goal on the first day.

"The response to the first issue was overwhelming and validating, it's been shipped to all corners of the globe and is even available at retail in Japan. For me, it's one positive I have about this turbulent year"

Toy-Ventures issue 2 will launch in December of 2020, copies of Issue 1 are available at toyventuresmagazine.com.
