Biodiesel and biodiesel blends can be used in all engines that are designed to be operated on diesel fuel. Preference is given to Biodiesel over diesel because it is cheaper than diesel, more sustainable, and nontoxic fuel; Biodiesel has less to no sulphur components; and it does not contribute as much as fossil fuels due to global warming.

OMCs have been increasing their procurement quantity of Biodiesel over the years and are projected to increase the procurement in the future.
