Los Angeles, California Sep 29, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - 2020 has been a year that has brought huge challenges in Los Angeles to many people, pet owners included. Homelessness is on the rise and when that involves pets also becoming homeless, it can be especially painful. Fortunately, help is out there in PalsNPets, an organization formed to address this vital concern. PalsNPets recently celebrated its early success. Getting its start in February, 2020 with just one shelter, now PalsNPets has expanded to four shelters in the Los Angeles area. PalsNPets believes that no human should have to choose between shelter or their best friend. Its holistic system of support within shelters addresses all the barriers homeless pet owners face when entering or while residing in a shelter. Thanks to the hard work of PalsNPets, pets being a barrier for unhoused pet owners seeking shelters, has turned into an opportunity with the support of PalsNPets programs and services.

“We are proud of our success so far, but this is just the beginning, so much more needs to be done,” commented Founder and Executive Director Iliana Belinc from PalsNPets. “We seek to expand our programs and services into every shelter in Los Angeles by partnering and implementing new pet policies. These new pet policies not only aid the entrance of a significant number of unhoused pet owners but will also bring positive benefits to the health of all the guest within the shelter.”

PalsNPets offers weekly onsite dog training, trained site assistants, and pet parenting classes.  The organization also offer veterinary services, pet food, pet supplies, and preventative care.
