The release makes the full Web Console available for both cloud-based and customer-managed on-premises deployments, giving IT and security teams the same operator experience regardless of where monitoring data resides.
OctoWatch DLP is built for mid-market organizations and teams in regulated industries that need a single tool for workforce visibility, productivity and attendance tracking, and insider-risk management — without combining separate time-tracking, screen-recording, and DLP products. The Grabber agent runs on company workstations as well as terminal and remote desktop sessions. Operators use the Web Console to access live view and remote control, historical screenshots and video, activity and timesheet reporting, channel monitoring for files, USB, email, and instant messaging where enabled, and rule-based alerts and blocking that appear in the Risks section.

What’s New in Version 7
Web Console for every deployment model
Version 7 extends full Web Console access to on-premises installations as well as cloud environments. Console operators remain unlimited and do not consume floating licenses, which are tied to active tracked users. Cloud customers continue to use the hosted console at app.octowatchdlp.com, while on-premises teams run the Web Console on their own server. Both deployment types use the same interface vocabulary: Grabber, Settings / Rules / Timetable / Computer profiles, Risks, and Anomalies.
Better performance on real endpoint fleets
The Grabber’s screen-recording path has been optimized for low-spec PCs, reducing the day-to-day performance impact on older hardware. Version 7 also improves Grabber efficiency on 32-bit systems that remain common in branch offices and legacy environments.
Stronger messaging capture and investigation continuity
Messenger interception for Chrome and Edge has been enhanced to capture browser-based communications more reliably. Support for Bitrix24 message interception has been updated. A fix restores webcam and microphone live access for additional console users when multiple operators need to verify presence or investigate an incident. Print-job interception and broader messenger reliability issues are also addressed.
