Los Angeles, California Aug 25, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Guiltner Creative Productions of Los Angeles, California announces their latest project a 4- episode mini-series based on stories of survivors of the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. “Portrayals: Inspired Stores of the 1918 Pandemic” is now in production, and mostly is being shot in the homes of actors in an effort to stay safe during our Covid-19 pandemic. Writer-Director Clayton Guiltner, with the help of his research assistant, Tera Dray, has written moving fictionalized stories based on real people who lived through the worst pandemic in America history.
Episode one tells the story of Edith and Alfred, two teens struggling to connect and survive both the pandemic and World War I as they write one another from thousands of miles apart. This heartwarming and powerful story of resilience and survival is based on letters and diaries from the time period
Future episodes include stories of a widower desperately seeking a new wife to mother his children after his wife was struck down by the vicious flu. Marya, also a recent widow, answers a newspaper ad soliciting marriage.
About the writer-director: Clayton Guiltner is a directing member of the renown Actors Studio West in Los Angeles and has enjoyed a 25-year career as director and writer of theatre and screen. Recently he was awarded the Cynopsis Short Form Video Award for his directing work on the promotional shorts for “A Candle for My Mother” and has placed in film festivals for his most recent film, “Some Things Private.” This will be Clayton’s second show to stream on Amazon Prime worldwide.
