Gay is a retired high school English teacher who considers herself a lifetime student of history and literature. She has a strong passion for writing stories, especially for children, although her earlier published book was a collection of poems and stories written for the residents of a nursing home. She also has a private collection of her travel journals documenting the many trips she had around the world’s fascinating places such as that of Antarctica.
