Mumbai, Maharashtra Dec 18, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Engineering in association with Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi recently organized a two days National Level Seminar on "MOOCs & Moodle: Challenges and Opportunities in Higher Education. The seminar was held at Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Engineering, Lohegaon, Pune.
It involved instructing teachers on how to teach in an effective manner using this method while teaching. On the first day, Prof. S. S. Das from IIT Kharagpur gave detailed guidance on the impact of NPTEL on self-sufficiency, needs of MOOCs, challenges and opportunities. Prof. Anika Thapar gave effective tips for creating MOOCs video with practical demonstration. On the 2nd day of the seminar, Prof. Sunthar from IIT Bombay guided regarding the usage of Moodle in admission tests and exams. In the end, Dr. Vinay Kulkarni told the gathering about the usage of MOOCs for effective teaching from the students' point of view. Dr. M. Z. Shaikh, Principal of Institute guided the audience and encouraged them to use MOOCs while teaching. Dr. F. B. Sayyad coordinated the whole seminar. More than 150 Professors from various colleges attended the seminar.
