Pittsburg, California Dec 16, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Earnest Stanberry Jr.’s arresting memoir, Born Black in the South as an Entertainer: The Legendary Earnest Stanberry Jr., instantiates never giving up on reaching one’s dreams. Stanberry came from a life of poverty. Somehow, he found ways to redirect their lives toward a better current through the gift of music. The author’s fascination in playing the harmonica, together with his raw talents, led to a life of progress. The book demonstrates how the power of tenacity, talent, music, and faith in one’s self affect anyone’s situation

Earnest Stanberry Jr. was born in Minter, Alabama. It was not determined if he was really born in 1938 or 1939 due to the midwives’ system at the time. Their family decided to move to Pensacola, Florida when he was at the young age of six months. He had ten other siblings and they had to live through a time where color segregation was at its peak that blacks weren’t even allowed to ride buses.

Earnest’s work will be exhibited at the Miami Book Fair Street Fair weekend, to be held at Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) in downtown Miami this coming November 22-24 at the Authors Press booth. To get the latest update on authors, like and follow Authors Press on Facebook and Twitter.
