Metro Detroit singer and songwriter Bryce announces the release of his debut single Flying. The single shares the sentiments of one falling in love, seeing life from a new perspective allowing one to experience life in a new light. With cross-over potential, Flying displays a fusion of creativity that appeals to a wide range of listeners, regardless of their background. The track infuses soulful R&B crooning with pop/rock and folk-acoustic tones. The song takes listeners through a journey of feelings when one meets that special someone. From joy, compassion to freedom each listener can relate to a time in their lives where they have felt all three.
“This single is really near and dear to my heart. Being a singer/songwriter since the age of 9, I have always been in the background,” states Bryce. “As a budding artist, I know how it feels to be apprehensive of taking the next step in going after your dream. Flying allows me to share this feeling and more with the world.”
Since the age of 9, Bryce has had a passion for singing and songwriting. From his roots in Gospel to exploring other genres such as R&B, Soul, Pop and Folk, the Detroit native has had the honor to sing background for some of the music industries greats, such as the late Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Yolanda Adams and Anita Wilson, Shana Wilson Williams, Ben Will, Alex Way and Eric Deon to name a few.
Believing in the power of storytelling and displaying these stories through song and film, Bryce is also a trained actor and has performed in many productions such as Saving The Dream and The Road to Redemption, directed by T.J. Hemphill. In addition to music and acting, he serves as the assistant director of Motivity Enterprises, a non-profit committed to encouraging the development of healthy relationship skills among Detroit-area youth by providing educational programming that teaches positive relationship choices and encourages them to choose abstinence.
With his various endeavours, Bryce’s mission in life is to shine a positive light on African American males by bringing global attention to their triumphs and celebrating their successes.
