Boulder City, Nevada May 24, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - A solemn Memorial Day observance in Southern Nevada was marked by Classic Miss Mountain West, Benne Sykes, delegate for Miss United Crown Of America and Army veteran, as she visits the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery to pay tribute to all deceased veterans. The visit underscores a shared commitment to remembrance, community service, and national unity in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
During the visit, the delegate photographed flags on veterans' final resting places, observed a moment of silence, then spoke on the importance of honoring those who gave their lives in service and giving prayer to being grateful to those that came before us. The event aligns with her #America250 platform, highlighting the enduring ideals of liberty, citizenship, and shared responsibility that define the United States citizenship.
